When in the US Foreign Service I served in Nicaragua, 1981-1983, and my next door neighbor and friend offered it to me in exchange for a bottle of Johnny Walker Red, and has been with me ever since, nowadays in my home, in Washington, DC. Own a few other oldies, and it has never been serviced while in my possession, though it appears to be in good working condition. Any idea what is it worth in today's market? Many thanks...pablotango#hotmail.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1296810989330430559.post-36832507946348146362011-11-14T14:31:03.192-08:002011-11-14T14:31:03.192-08:00Great stuff, as usual, Tom. It's packed full of photos of some nifty typewriters, one is even see-through! Don't know if this comment will allow for links, but here goes: http://www.wired.com/rawfile/2010/05/gallery-typewriters/all/1. I'm sure it would be of interest to your readers as well.dawthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05111620685415829813noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1296810989330430559.post-24719867536217004622011-06-29T03:11:22.218-07:002011-06-29T03:11:22.218-07:00Tom, thanks for the tip, you make that sound so ea...Tom, thanks for the tip, you make that sound so easy :-)Rob Bowkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12065940710708289511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1296810989330430559.post-45510632999570886762011-06-28T18:41:55.587-07:002011-06-28T18:41:55.587-07:00Martin- Lets just call it the perks of the job!
