About this blog
This blog is about the daily activities in a busy typewriter shop. I want to share with you the many interesting people who come in here, the beautiful machines I get and most of all the great typewriter stories that people share with me!
It's very good to have you back. I'm sorry to hear of your back problem and hope all goes well for you and you have a full recovery.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, and thank you for the stories. Keep healing and be gentle on yourself!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you've returned to work and that your back is getting better! I know how frustrating back problems can be.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like some good has actually come out of this, in a way, with your brother-in-law helping you & enjoying the work.
Take care and take it slow! Best wishes for full recovery soon.
Greetings! Nice yellow paper and typeface combination! Wishing you a speedy recovery!
ReplyDeleteHope your back feels brand new soon! Thanks for sharing! I love that SM3. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo good to see another a beautiful post; absolutely gorgeous machines (as always) and delightful news. Hoping you feel better very soon.
ReplyDeleteTom hope you feel better - you will be in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that your back are injured. Hope you'll get well soon.
ReplyDeleteOnce again a great post. And the SM3 is absolutely delightful.
Thank you all- Bill, Richard, Cameron, Shordzi, Crystal, Joe, Father Richard and Fernando for your comments and especially your good wishes. I have a long way to go but I'm very happy to be back doing what I love. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteTom, sorry about the back. I have been similarly indisposed. After thinking I was recovered, I decided I could risk kayaking (flat water) for an afternoon. All was painless and well... until the day after. But I'm on the mend, as it sounds you are too, which is good. Nobody realises the heft to an SM3 until you need to get it out to type on. After me, "Bend your knees and l-i-f-t".
ReplyDeleteHey Rob- thanks for the good wishes and advise. I must remember to bend those knees first. It's not the SM3's that did me in but 30 years of lifting IBM Selectrics. Hope you're better soon too!
