Back To Work...Yea!!!

This Brothers Wizard types better than you think.

This 1937 Royal De Luxe makes a great first typewriter.

My favorite 1939 Corona Sterling does the honors today.

  1. Congrats on getting back to work. It must be so exciting to see the looks on people's faces as they attempt to decide what their first typewriter should be. I envy you, good sir.
That Corona is quite a beauty, and the typeface is lovely. Is this a personal machine, or one you have in the shop you like to use?

  2. So glad to hear that you're back at it! I hope the rest of your recovery proceeds as quickly.

The Apple Store comment is hilarious. You need a "Genius Bar" sign to have over your workbench!

  7. Ken- You can't put a price on the joy I get from hooking people up with their first typewriters. Also the Corona Sterling is my machine that I keep at home. I try to type on as many customer machines as possible to show off as many different machines as I can.

Winston, Mark, ART, Bill- Thanks for your well wishes! I also love the Apple Store comment.

Ton- No more clutches and I can drive now but I it takes about 2 more months before I'll feel better. It's a slow recovery process.

  9. Nice to hear that you're back on the job, Tom. Even nicer to hear that it still brings you joy. And I know that feeling that you get when you put the customer together with the perfect typewriter. I sell wristwatches and I always get a buzz when I've helped somebody choose the right watch. You can see it in their eyes. "Yep, that's the one. Wrap it up."
