Very nice typewriters. The finger key top is great. I like the Hermes ad also. Reminds me of my latest Hermes repair.

ReplyDeleteI have never even heard of a typewriter that types a pointing hand. That is wonderful.
Good ads, too. I don't find "They go thunk instead of clack" to be a great selling point for the Hermes 3000, but to each his own!

Bill- That can't be good if that Hermes ad reminds you of your repair. When I first learned repairs I would take machines apart and lay out the pieces in order just like that Hermes ad. I still do it when I'm working with something new.
ReplyDeleteKen- I'll go through my scrap paper at the shop and try to find the test sheet from that No.4 and find a sample of the pointing finger. If I find it, I'll post it next week. It was cool. Thanks.
Richard- Thanks for your generous comments. Whoever wrote the script for that Hermes ad wasn't a typewriter guy but a Madison Ave guy.
I have that Hermes ad up on my wall in my typewriter room!
