I am still ticked to death over winning the Silent-Super. And I won it using my father's typewriter; he would have been proud. The whole event was terrific fun, thanks so much!
That looks like it was a huge amount of fun. just wish i wasn't on the other side of the continent. But i hear tell there is a typewriter shop down the valley from here in Stockton, CA - maybe the folks there could be encouraged into events like this one.
This is really neat. Thank you for posting all of these wonderful pictures. It looks like everyone had a lot of fun. I think the typewriters are amazing and have fun golfing with your brother.
Mum and daughter dropping by today to scope out your lovely type-out! I hadn't come across a 'type-out' previously, as I have only seen adverts for 'type-ins' which yours soon became! Our curiosity has overtaken logical sense: were you able to find the link for the typing contest!? And, do you have a link or reference article for the East Village Type-Out/In!?
Oooh, and most intriguing how fast was the woman who won the speed test!?
I am an avid reader of your blog and an aspiring vintage typewriter owner! My Mum *loved!* manuals in the 60s/70s/& 80s but where we are living the typewriter shoppes have disappeared! Nice to note that in some parts they are thriving!
Good that you were able to fit every one inside and things worked out successfully. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteAn umbrella for the typewriter. That is great!

ReplyDeleteOnce again it looks like a brilliant day and thanks for sharing the news and the photos - almost like being there! Enjoy the golf!
ReplyDeleteWhat bliss!
ReplyDeleteLet's play two!
The umbrella and the typewriter -- two inventions that seek humbly only to serve humankind! Congrats on a great gig.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds just wonderful! Have fun during playing golf with your brothers.
