About this blog
This blog is about the daily activities in a busy typewriter shop. I want to share with you the many interesting people who come in here, the beautiful machines I get and most of all the great typewriter stories that people share with me!
Thank you Tim for taking the time to write a great guest blog post. I appreciate your friendship and always look forward to your visits. Love the different letterheads and typeface!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tom, it was sincerely my pleasure. Thank you for all that you do always for the world of typewriters.
DeleteTom's shop sounds like a very magical place, as it seems every typewriter shop is - it takes an amazing sort of man to keep running such a place in thin times, and I for one am glad that times are getting a bit thicker for these wizards of the writing machine. (:
ReplyDeleteGreat typecast. Great descriptions of the typewriters and your store, Every time I read your blog or someone mentions you or your store I keep wanting to stop what I am doing and drive North.
ReplyDeleteYour description of Tom's shop reminds me when I was a TV repairman. Great memories.
ReplyDeleteTed- Thanks for your kind comments. I wish I could videotape people as they come into the shop. Many times their reactions are priceless.
ReplyDeleteBill M. - Thanks Bill, if you ever head north, you must stop by!
Joe V. - I always enjoy meeting other people who do cool jobs or are in old time trades. There are still a lot of us around. Thanks.
So nice to come across somebody else who buys and uses the old letterheads! I will try hard not to get in a bidding war with you on ebay!
ReplyDeleteI am going to create a app that will help us to use fonts in typewriter style.
